Listening Around: Drive to Work at 250

TalesOfAGM CrossBack in December 2014 I recommended Mark Rosewater’s Drive to Work podcast.

These podcasts are a monologue by Mark as he drives to work. The Magic website describes the podcasts as follows:

Magic: The Gathering Head Designer Mark Rosewater shares stories, insights, and more while driving to work. Listen in and learn more about Magic!

Since my first article, I have picked up the speed of my listening, and finally caught up with Mark. This has taken me past the 250 episodes point, which is a mammoth achievement by Mark.

I wanted to take a moment to celebrate this milestone. Well done Mark Rosewater. 250 episodes is a lot of talk, but the series remains informative and entertaining. He is currently posting two episodes a week, and the series shows no sign of slowing.

Mark remains an engaging conversationalist with a lot to say about broad design topics, game theory and the inner workings of Magic itself. If you are interested in any of these topics, then improve your skills by listening to Drive To Work.

The first 123 Episodes can be found at the old Magic: The Gathering website.

The later Episodes are at the new Magic: The Gathering website.

Happy Listening

Phil

The Listening Around series of posts are my suggestions for great podcasts.

The previous post discussed the conclusion of the Dice of Doom podcast.
