I am now in the second week of the RPG-a-day project. This is a series of roleplaying questions to answer on social media. The host is the Brigade Con blog, where you can find the large image with the full list of questions.
What game is your group most likely to play next? Why?
As regular readers of the blog know, I have a deep love for the HeroQuest rules, now back to their roots in the latest HeroQuest Glorantha. Thus, this will ever be our default game.
However, I am also a big fan of Interludes, short games woven into the fabric of the on-going story. We probably should play one soon, but I suspect this will end up being a HeroQuest game switched to the setting from Day After Ragnarok.
Thus, the immediate future for our group is full of HeroQuest. Looking further ahead, the next planned Interlude with a different set of rules is like to be a Halloween special using the rules from Puppetland. This dark setting features puppet characters in Punch’s dystopia.
My current plan is to relate a surreal myth from the campaign setting, viewed through puppet characters. If I can pitch this right, then it should feel both like a Gloranthan story and a session of Puppetland. My Players are keen to play, and I am sure they are creatve enough to make it work for us. I will report back on this Interlude in November.
