Shadows of Ulubrae, Chapter 11, Part 2

  • Successful prep
  • Bonus Basic D&D
  • Planning my spare time

After a run of difficult weeks, I am pleased to note how much smoother this week has been. This is true of my writing in general, and also of the game prep. The session outline is complete, the actual play report is posted here on the blog and yesterday I created the additional story elements arising from last week’s story. Even better, I had time to write the actual play report from the last Basic D&D game I played with the boys.

As all this means I am ready for the session on Saturday, I have time for additional tasks. Along with the inevitable scanning, I need to compile my list of flaws, relationships and best abilities for the Heroes. This sheet serves many functions in the game, including monitoring the overall power level of the Heroes. I probably should write a post about this piece of my GM’s toolkit.

Looking ahead to my remaining time before the weekend, I would like to fit in some scanning tonight. Friday evening is focused on printing the documents I need, then packing the Bag of Holding. I may also find bonus time Saturday morning, which is always a good time to complete bonus GM tasks. Good progress here, and I may stay on schedule for next week too.

Happy Gaming
