- Faction index cards
- Busy week
- Lack of Dungeon World prep
This first week of the term has been a busy one. The combination of school events and household chores have filled my time. I am working through my backlog of tasks, but only with effort. Thus, my game prep has taken a hit. On Wednesday, I finished the actual play report and made a start on the index cards listing the city factions for the DramaSystem game on Saturday. Sadly, this was the limit to my prep.
I was hoping to complete the Session Outline Sheet tonight, but it is already late as I write this. The outline will not need to be quite so comprehensive for a DramaSystem interlude, but it is good to use as a record of the session. Thus, it will take less time than usual to compile, but I still need one.
Obviously, I also need to finish those index cards listing the factions. I hope to find time for that tomorrow, if my trip to Norwich passes smoothly. Otherwise, it will need to be squeezed into tomorrow night, along with the usual pre-game printing. So often my prep takes less time than I expect, yet I stress about it regardless, I hope this will be one of those weeks.
I had also hoped to make progress with the Dungeon World prep. This has not happened at all. I may need to set aside more time next week to prepare for running a new set of rules. I am expecting DW to run for more than one session, so I will have the chance to correct any errors or omissions from the first session. Regardless, it could be another busy week looming.
The Prep in Progress series are short summaries of my prep for the ongoing Tales of the Hero Wars campaign.
