- Reduced Prep
- Structured HeroQuest Plots
- Shortage of Tiime
There is no roleplaying on Saturday, as the Players preferred the option of playing a boargame instead. This translates as a reduced game prep burden for me. Sadly, I had many chores remaining from the weekend away, so the past week has been busy. Simply, I juggle too many tasks, and the game prep suffers in the process.
Focusing on the positives, I formalized the rough plans for the major plots I see looming in the Shadows of Ulubrae story arc. Several plots feature elements of the same group, so I need a diagram to unite all these plots. Maybe with coloured lines to help differentiate the separate plots. This is all good progress, but not enough by themselves to run the rest of the story arc. Additional planning is required.
Normally, I would have Friday night for last-minute prep. However, this week we are taking my youngest son out for his birthday party with a couple of friends. I suspect this will take up a large part of the evening. Indeed, much of the day will involve preparing for the party. Once again, there will be no time for the game prep. Thus, I can only hope to find bonus time over the weekend. My writing schedule is light over the weekend, so maybe I can claw back some lost time that way. I certainly hope to find the time.
The Prep in Progress series are short summaries of my prep for the ongoing Tales of the Hero Wars campaign.
