August means the #RPGaDay program is live. We are now in the third week of this month-long series filling my schedule. The RPG-a-day project is hosted again at Brigade Con blog, where you can find the full list of questions.
Which RPG have you played the most in your life?
I am sounding like a stuck record for this year’s RPG-a-day project. As part of the administration for my Tales of a Hero Wars campaign, I track attendance, games and character progress. Thus, I know I have run 203 sessions of HeroQuest, covering both HeroQuest 2 and HeroQuest Glorantha. Sadly, I lack similar figures for the rest of my RPG career. Yet, I feel sure the HeroQuest family holds my record for the most number of games.
This result was no surprise to anyone. Yet, to add a little more variety to my replies, I shall consider only games I participated in as a Player. Aside from a play-by-forum game at RPGGeek, my HeroQuest score is zero. For the bulk of my RPG hobby, I was the GM. Yet, I did play in a long Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay campaign, the legendary Enemy Within plot. I believe I also began this campaign at school, and again in university, before joining the game which ran through the series.
