- Quantity of new information
- Time for Player action
- Prepping Player plans
Roleplaying on Saturday was another session where the Players received a large amount of information. As expected, this gave them a lot to think about and discuss. I am sure all four of the major plots have been shown to the Heroes, the question remains over how well the Players understand what they are seeing. As this session conveyed many clues, it is probably time for Player action. It is always interesting to see how the Players respond to so much new information.
This is where the challenge for game prep can be a problem. Thankfully, the latest session did provide me with a couple of useful pointers as to where the Players want to go next. This is the crucial area for me to prepare tomorrow. My time remains limited, as the boys are still on holiday, but the early part of the week has run mostly to plan. Thus, I should be in a better position to work through the necessary prep tomorrow. The actual play report is written, but the rest of the usual administration remains. I need a new Session Outline Sheet, and the story prompts for the next steps outlined by the Players.
For the moment, I am optimistic of achieving my prep goals for tomorrow. The boys may have other ideas.
The Prep in Progress series comprises short summaries of my prep for the ongoing Tales of the Hero Wars campaign.
