- Prep on schedule
- Plots for Players
- Final Friday prep
I organized my time a little better this week, so the game prep is running close to schedule. The Session Outline Sheet is almost complete, and I even found time for updating another of my GM reference sheets. Keeping the last little piece of game prep until Friday evening is not a bad plan. This serves as a good reminder about the forthcoming game.
The exact plan for next session is a little vague, as I am never sure exactly which Players will turn up. One particular plot I have in mind focuses upon two of the Heroes. Thus, I cannot set this plot in motion without both Players present. There would be scope for the other Heroes to participate, but I do need the central Players to attend. As ever, no prep is really wasted, so I can wait another week or two if needed until the specific Players are present.
Even though we are probably only halfway through the current story arc, some of my recent articles on the blog will help make the next cycle of tales better. The trick to a major rules or setting upgrade is to find the time to put in the necessary design work. This time, I have a plan for that too. As we near the time for the next iteration of the campaign, I will present this to the Players and see what they think.
The Prep in Progress series comprises short summaries of my prep for the ongoing Tales of the Hero Wars campaign.
