Writing Goals, 19th November, 2017

Hi Everyone,

As predicted, the gas fitter arrived on Monday and we are blessed with a heated house. Well, the upstairs has heating which makes such a difference now the frosts have arrived. I am pleased to see the progress, but the builders are likely to be here for a few more weeks.

Previously at Tales of a GM:

  • Bonus – December Blog project
  • 1 hour – Social Media – Visit different Forums and write five posts or comments
  • 2 hours – Write, edit & post a long blog article
  • 30 mins – Weekly Task – Plan
  • 2 hours – General Fiction
  • Bonus – First Draft Chapter Book
  • 30 mins – Fiction Planning

Despite my super-slim schedule, I still struggled last week. I had time blocked out for Christmas presents and the game prep, yet achieved little of either. There was progress in a few areas, but really not enough. The December blog project will launch this week and thus becomes the long essay for the week. I probably should devote time to taking a few dice photographs in preparation, so this will keep me busy.

Elsewhere, both the blog and the game prep suffered. I really need to pick up the rate of posting this week, otherwise, November will end up very poor. I skipped my Prep in Progress series for the whole of last week, which rather summarises how the blog and the game prep went. Thankfully, a quick bout of early-morning prep on Saturday saved our return to Ulubrae.

Looking ahead, this week is more of the same. The Christmas chores are not going away and the builders are with us for another week. I hope to push forward on the blog a little better. A good day on Wednesday should mean the game prep is sorted in advance of another session of HeroQuest. The schedule remains much the same as last week:

  • Bonus – Planar pdf
  • 1 hour – Social Media – Visit different Forums and write five posts or comments
  • 2 hours – Write, edit & post a long blog article
  • 30 mins – Weekly Task – Plan
  • 2 hours – General Fiction
  • Bonus – First Draft Chapter Book
  • 30 mins – Fiction Planning

It is always good to have a project near completion and thus fall off the schedule. I hope to work through a few more of the chores this week. December is going to be such a rush this year, so extra effort here will pay off later.

See how I performed here

Wishing you a productive week

Phil
