Writing Goals, 26th November, 2017

Hi Everyone,

December’s whirlwind of events is only a few days away. The bulk of the Christmas presents are bought and I have written out a Christmas card list. Dragonmeet is less than a week away, so my excitement is building.

Previously at Tales of a GM:

  • Bonus – Planar pdf
  • 1 hour – Social Media – Visit different Forums and write five posts or comments
  • 2 hours – Write, edit & post a long blog article
  • 30 mins – Weekly Task – Plan
  • 2 hours – General Fiction
  • Bonus – First Draft Chapter Book
  • 30 mins – Fiction Planning

For yet another week, my focus was more on chores than the writing. The more work I put in through November, then the smoother December will run. I finally announced the 12 Days of Dicember, the blog project I worked on for months. While this will further complicate the start of the month, the pun in the title was too good to resist. I hope you will join in by sharing your dice stories.

The building work rumbles on, further disrupting my focus. This project should finish early December, leaving me a frantic few weeks to ready the house for the holidays. The blog suffered from a lack of content through the middle of November. I am pushing hard to post two articles a day to ensure at least 40 articles in the month.

Looking ahead, I have another busy week looming. I set aside a little time to photograph dice for the 12 Days of Dicember, but I expect just one hour will not be enough even for just the first six pictures. Scrambling to post double-content to the blog each day will also take up a lot of time. The long blog post for Friday involves three tables, which always take longer to upload. Game prep is less urgent this week, but readying myself for a long day in London at Dragonmeet will consume the time. My packed schedule for this week is:

  • 1 hour – Primary Goal- 12 Days Dicember photographs
  • 1 hour – Social Media – Visit different Forums and write five posts or comments
  • 2 hours – Write, edit & post a long blog article
  • 30 mins – Weekly Task – Plan
  • 2 hours – General Fiction
  • Bonus – First Draft Chapter Book
  • 30 mins – Fiction Planning

After so long working on the December blog project I am pleased to have it launched. I hope it will interest gamers and help us share our love of dice. With Dragonmeet to look forward to, I am sure I can cope with another busy week. Are you ready for the holidays yet?

Wishing you a productive week

Phil
