Arteta happy with Arsenal’s pre-season form, confirms readiness for Premier League opener.

The team will open their first game of the season against Wolverhampton on August 17, 2024.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta spoke after his side beat Lyon 2-0 in the Emirates Cup, the final warm-up game of the 2024-25 season before heading to the Premier League next week.
The Gunners scored twice from two set pieces in the game, with the goals scored by the team’s two centre-backs, William Saliba and Gabriel.
“It was a good test. I think overall it was a great pre-season, another success. We went on tour abroad and came back to England for two games and we play very สมัคร ufabet well against strong opponents. Of course we did well today, especially in the first half. We play a very high quality game and we kept the standard. The second half maybe dropped a little bit. There were some conditions that need dealt with. Overall I am very please.”

Arteta also spoke about the availability of defenders Urian Timber and Takehiro Tomiyasu, who are not expected to be fit for the opening game of the new season. “Everything is fine. Timber is recovering and we expect him to be ready to train with the team next week. Everything looks positive for him. For Tomiyasu, I think it’s another week where he has to be patient and continue to work hard on his recovery. I think he’s out for another two or three weeks.”
